BERLEI BREAKS NEW GROUND IN THE INTIMATE APPAREL MARKET WITH THE LAUNCH OF THE NEW BERLEI ONE COLLECTION

Recently The Berlei Group launched Berlei One, the revolutionary, stitch-free bra collection designed in Australia.

A breakthrough in bra technology, Berlei One introduces the world's first virtually stitch-fee bra, which sits flat against the body, eradicating dig in and visible lines to bring new meaning to "intimate apparel" and redefine market expectations.

Designed in Australia, Berlei One bras are formulated using a unique fusing process of heat, pressure and glue to create a virtually stitch-free garment. Straps are attached with Berlei's Ultrasonic machine, which uses heat generated from sound waves.

Berlei One innovation originates from a combination of the latest technology, fashion trends and consideration of the functional emotional needs women place on bras.

During Berlei One's two-year developmental period, research was conducted to ascertain attitudes towards intimate apparel of women aged 19-55. Consumers identified comfort and innovation as top priorities and growing need for intimate apparel that enhances the wearer's shape while having a "second skin" effect.

To really meet consumer needs, The Berlei One collection has been through an extensive testing process. Berlei One performed above current quality standards in wash and wear tests and consumer tests have been overwhelmingly positive.

The new Berlei One collection will be available in-store from November 2002 in all leading department stores and speciality boutiques.
