Question: What originally inspired your passion for fitness?
Becky Hudson: I grew up doing sports and did competitive cheerleading for 12 years, so I think that helped make fitness a daily part of my life. Don't get me wrong, sometimes I just want to skip the gym, yoga, or Pilates class all together (laughs), but fitness has been a part of my life for so long now that I truly enjoy it!
Question: What are some of your favorite workout routines?
Becky Hudson: I like changing up my routines, so I don't get bored with them! I love doing light weight and core training, hikes in the morning or early evening, and then fun classes like hot yoga, or an intense Pilates class.
Question: Can you talk us through your workout schedule, for a week?
Becky Hudson: It honestly changes depending on what my work schedule is. I do try to always have my routines preplanned out so maybe two days of cardio and light weight training, two-three classes of yoga or Pilates, and then once a week I like to take a nice hike to get fresh air and just center myself for whatever I have next on my work schedule. It's always changing though!
Question: How do you practice, self-care?
Becky Hudson: When it comes to self-care, I always like to take a little time out of my day to remind myself that I am worth it and make sure what I am doing is making me truly happy. When it comes to self-care you don't have to buy yourself something, it can be as simple as looking in the mirror and telling yourself that "I am beautiful," or something along those lines because quite often we are our worst critics, so it's important to be your own biggest fan as well!
Question: Do you have a morning ritual?
Becky Hudson: I don't really have a morning ritual besides checking my phone and work calendar when I wake up so I can mentally prepare for my day. If I have a photoshoot that day, I try to get a light workout in. If I have business meetings that day then I try to review any materials I may need to look over before the meeting.
