Dame Elisabeth Murdoch, just after her 100th birthday, will once again open her beautiful garden Cruden Farm on the picturesque Mornington Peninsula on Sunday 1 March to raise urgently needed funds for research into the causes and treatment of diabetes and heart disease at the world famous Baker IDI Heart and Diabetes Institute.

These magnificent gardens, designed by Edna Walling, will be the location for a range of live music including Australian Chamber Music, raffles and valuable silent actions, produce stalls, and plenty of childrens activities including face painting, an animal farm, fun with the fire brigade and much more for families to enjoy.

Garden enthusiasts can savour talks from a range of expert speakers who will also be on hand to answer questions from green thumbs including the award-winning Wes Fleming and his team, whose award winning garden designs have taken the annual world famous Chelsea Garden show in London by storm!

Bring a picnic or create a feast by purchasing something from the barbecue. There will also be a range of fine wines from Delatite winery on sale by the glass or bottle. A gourmet range of homemade provisions including jams, jellies, vinegars and chutneys will also be available, and Barista Bros will be on hand to provide a caffeine hit.

The day offers a compelling chance to find out more about protecting our families from and living well with diabetes and heart disease, at the special medical tents and above all, a chance to speak and rejoice with Melbourne's own very special Dame- Elisabeth Murdoch as she celebrates her Centenary.

Bring the family and be with us on this fascinating day!

All funds raised will go to support Baker IDI Heart & Diabetes Institute, dedicated to the prevention and cure of cardiovascular disease, diabetes and obesity; the worlds leading health challenges.
