Hot off a sell-out show at this year's Adelaide Fringe Festival The Amy Winehouse Show 'Back To Black" returns to Melbourne for a spectacular show at The Yarraville Club on Saturday, June 11.
One of Australia's finest and most versatile vocalists, Atlanta Coogan (ex-Black Sorrows) has been blowing audiences away and selling out some of Melbourne's finest venues (including The Flying Saucer Club and Bennetts Lane) with her tribute to the great songstress Amy Winehouse, who tragically died in 2011, aged 27.
Giving music fans the full Amy Winehouse experience, Atlanta sings with backing of the All Star Little Big Band (Steve Hadley, Steve Morrison, Pete Mitchell, Matt Poynter, Matt Dwyer), complete with horn section, taking the audience on a journey through Amy's short but extraordinary life, performing her classics including Valerie, Rehab and of course, Back To Black, to name a few, while telling her incredible story.
Originally put together as a one-off event for the first anniversary of Amy's tragic demise, The Amy Winehouse Show – Back To Black has become one of this city's most sought after acts, finding a growing audience whilst celebrating the life and music of the brilliant performer, highlighting the biggest hits and showstoppers she was so well known for.
