I love a sun burnt country a land.... But what I don't love is how the summer months play havoc with my lips.

As soon as the summer sun comes out and the air conditioning goes on, lips seem to automatically lose any moisture they may have had. Lips get parched, and for me, I constantly fight through the summer with sore, parched and dry lips.

Protecting your lips from the harsh sun and drying air conditioned environments is a must. Make sure the lipsticks you use have an SPF in it, and a combination of Vitamin C and Vitamin E will help to keep your lips plump, moist and healthy.

Australis has recently come out with two lines of lipstick and gloss that contain Kakadu Plum. Kakadu Plum is currently taking the world by storm, and is believed to have the highest concentration of Vitamin C of all the super fruits, reportedly 50 times more than found in the humble orange. Both ranges also have UV filters to protect the lips from ultraviolet radiation, Vitamin E to moisturize, and peptides which stimulate collagen and help lips to repair.

The gloss range has 10 shades which are Lychee scented, which is very 'summer days', and the gloss is not as sticky as some gloss ranges on the market, which is great for being outside. The lipsticks have an SPF 15 which is all important to stop lips getting burnt, and come in 10 bold colours and although they last quite a long time, they don't cake or clump which is a bonus. They have essential oils such as jojoba, evening primrose and avocado to make the lipsticks more comfortable to wear.Both the lipstick and gloss range also have really cute names such as Flamenco, Cha Cha, Disco and Foxtrot. Admittedly dancing is not my strong point, but I will get through this summer with soft kissable lips.
