On the evening of Tuesday 18th November, the fabulous heritage-listed Melbourne Town Hall will be the setting for a wonderful evening in support of drought relief.
Through extensive work in regional and rural communities, the AWLF has first-hand knowledge of the on-going challenges facing Australian families as a direct result of the worst drought on record.
As part of the Inaugural Australian Regional Women Leaders Convention, the AWLF and Ergon Energy will host a national drought relief gala dinner. Dinner entertainment will include a powerful keynote address by Australian Storys Sam and Jenny Bailey, various musical and comedy skits and a charity auction with all proceeds going directly to help Australian families aff ected by drought.
The charity auction has attracted the support of some high profile Australians including Country and Western singer Lee Kernaghan, Director of Jimmy Possum Furniture, Margot Spalding and Chairman and Director of Hancock Prospecting, Gina Rinehart.
