Scratching through the layers of rubble and soil, a tiny reflection caught their eyes. A shimmer in the earth-they had found something, and it was precious.

Award winning Sydney Artists, Rhonda Dwyer and Penny Snars met at University while studying Visual Arts at Sydney College of the Arts. With this body of work, they have harnessed their passions of metal to create a series of tiny vessels & jewels, each unique and precious. Using raising and forming techniques they have created an abundance of miniature treasures.

Studio 20/17 opened in January 2008 and showcases work by Australian and International contemporary jewellery artists. 20/17 provides the opportunity for both emerging and established artists to exhibit their work within the largest context of an established contemporary arts environment. It is a place where design lovers can interact with the creator of the work, purchase pieces or just admire the art. Studio 20/17 aims to increase the profile of the applied arts within the broader contemporary art arena.
