Anon.Women Spring/Summer 09/10 runway launch

Renowned Melbourne-based designer Ben Smith launched his much anticipated label's Anon.Women summer 09/10 collection yesterday morning.Held at the MCA Gallery's Foundation Hall, the audience of media, buyers and fashion-followers were dazzled by the timeless and covetable pieces that Anon is famous for.

Grace, strength and style has motivated this year's collection. Silk and linen fabrics in voluminous styles provided a graceful fluidity, mirroring this season's ethereal and romantic mood. Palettes of white, champagne gold and slate blue adorned the models - garments were paired with organic-inspired solid wooden bangles, draped necklaces made of semi-precious stones; braided grosgrain belts and unstructured handbags made of leather and silk.

The beautiful, free - flowing styles were perfectly teamed with bespoke Shoemaker Andrew McDonald's shoe collection and demonstrated how this versatile collection can be easily transformed from stylish day wear into sophisticated evening wear.

Guests were treated to the operatic sounds of soprano Sue Ellen Cusack, who performed a classical rendition of 'A Duet in C Minor', accompanied by cellist Braxton Neate.

Redken Hair Director Richard Cavanagh created a textured ponytail for the models' hair while mineral makeup brand Inika provided a soft, neutral makeup to perfectly complement the look.
