In her second film for Satyajit Ray, the stunning Madhabi Mukherjee plays a mother who leaves the safe confines of her home to become a modern working woman. For his 12th film, Ray weaves an emotionally complex tale that perfectly straddles the domestic and the wider societal changes that were taking place across the nation.

China Up Close: Live Events
14th - 23rd of January
This participatory installation will take over the Lightwell Bay Window during the summer school holidays, with visitors invited to contribute to the making of an evolving, immersive Chinese landscape. Help create a visual and auditory landscape using sounds from using ancient Chinese instruments,  bamboo chimes, chopsticks, woks, rice beads, Chinese dried food and yarn.

The Massive Minecraft Movie
18th and 23rd of January

Work as a team to design a unique world and characters, then direct your own scene in our first ever Minecraft movie. Workshops run from 10am to 4pm.
