Nativity 3: Dude Where's My Donkey?: Christmas is just around the corner and with the departure of yet another teacher (David Tennant), a super teacher Mr Shepherd (Doc Martin's Martin Clunes) and daughter Lauren are headed to St Bernadette's Primary School to get the school ship shape and ready for an imminent school inspection.

Monkey Kingdom: The latest Disneynature movie travels deep into the jungle of Sri Lanka. Located at the epicentre of their kingdom, Castle Rock boasts magnificent views fit for a family of privileged macaque monkeys, a solitary mongoose as well as a sloth bear and her cubs.

Creative Workshops

Filmmaking:
Make a Movie: In this three-day hands-on creative and technical filmmaking workshop for kids aged 9 to 12, participants work in a small group to learn the basics of writing, directing, acting in and editing a short film.

Movie Mavericks: A three-day workshop for kids aged 13 to 15 focused on next stages of the filmmaking craft. Learn about advanced elements of production and post-production, such as lighting and sound design, and screen storytelling.

Animation:

Claymation for Kids: Sculpt a clay character and watch it come to life with sets, studio lighting, and sound effects and sped up frames in this one-day workshop. For kids aged 8 to 11.

Family Claymation: A one-day workshop for the whole family exploring animation techniques and how they can be used to make movies at home.

Videogames:

The Massive Minecraft Movie: Work as a team to design a unique world and characters and direct a scene in your own Minecraft adventure in a specially designed version of Minecraft.

Minecraft Family: Play Minecraft as a family and learn why it is the most popular multiplayer game for all ages. Gain insight into how Minecraft can also be used in a learning environment.

Family Scratch Day: Learn how to use Scratch, a free visual programming language developed to help simplify the process of creating and programming animations, games, music, interactive stories and more.

Free Stuff

Screen Worlds: The Story of Film, Television & Digital Culture: Play classic and contemporary videogames, celebrate the lives of prominent personalities and see their treasures, and engage with stunning interactive exhibits.
Open daily: 10am – 5pm
Admission: Free entry, Galleries level

Screen Worlds Animation Trail: Embark on an exciting treasure hunt through Screen Worlds and discover fascinating facts about animation.
Allow approximately 30 to 40 minutes to complete the trail.

Family Dance Party: Dance off anyone? Bring your best party outfits and karaoke singing voice for a good old fashioned pre-Christmas disco in The Cube.

GIF IT: Take a sequence of shots of a character cut out, create a simple animated GIF and upload it onto the internet. View your animated GIF anytime, download it and share it all over the world!
