ACMI is a hub of activity for kids and families during the Spring school holidays from 17 September to 2 October 2016.
Screening exclusively at ACMI, five of Disney's greatest family documentaries, travel deep into the jungle, across the plains of Africa and the tropical forests of Asia, showing nature in all its glory. Bears, butterflies and monkeys are joined by a who's who of Hollywood talent, including Meryl Streep, John C. Reilly, Tim Allen, Samuel L. Jackson and Tina Fey to help our (mostly) furry friends tell their stories, ensuring these documentaries enthral both children and adults alike.
As with ACMI's regular Kids' Flicks sessions all Disneynature Festival tickets are $7, plus until 30 September there will be free, hands-on creative activities as part of daily workshop program including Disneynature Drop In which will teach kids aged 5 to 10 years about the natural world.
As always, kids can enjoy ACMI's Creative Workshops during the school holidays, with sessions teaching useful moving image skills including coding, Scratch programming, movie-making, Minecraft™, YouTube and gaming.
And, ACMI's Screen Worlds exhibition gets a new addition with a new augmented reality game Yolk-em installed just in time for the school holidays.
ACMI's Spring School Holidays program runs Saturday 17 September to Sunday 2 October 2016. For tickets, session times and information visit: acmi.net.au/disneynature-festival / acmi.net.au/creative-workshops
