ACMF National Songwriting Competition

Students from every public, and private, primary, secondary and specific purpose school across Australia are invited to put pen to paper and enter their original song for a chance to win in a share of over $30,000 of musical equipment and tuition for themselves and their school… for free!

Simply by using your phone, iPad, computer or a CD, you can record yourself singing your very own original song. You can even upload to YouTube and send us the link, it's that easy. Enter with your best friend, a group of friends, or convince your teacher to get your whole class or grade involved.

Music and English Teachers and parents are encouraged to use this opportunity to develop children's learning, improve self-esteem and encourage individualism.

The ACMF's National Songwriting Competition is endorsed by the Minister for Education Christopher Pyne MP.

This year, the competition's ambassador is none other than Timomatic! Timomatic rose to fame through his incredible dance, voice and performance skills that blew audiences away! Known for appearing on -So You Think You Can Dance' and on -Australia's Got Talent' as both a contestant and a judge, Timomatic is one of Australia's most successful artists. 

Timomatic will also be supported by one of the ACMF's Youth Ambassadors Latifa Tee, who was so impressive during her time on X-Factor that she has been signed by Redfoo's management, F.A.M.E and has just released her new single, -Games'! Latifa will be providing tips and answering your songwriting questions on her YouTube channel and on Twitter.

To further help you on your journey to songwriting stardom, your school could be involved in interactive songwriting workshops via video conference with Tamworth Golden Guitar award winner and experienced ACMF teacher Tamara Stewart! We will be providing 9 x 40minute sessions over 3 days, details on how to register are on our website www.acmf.com.au

Every year we involve high profile singer songwriters, artists and publishers to endorse and judge the competition. This year's judges, joined by Timomatic are soon to be announced so stay tuned!
