Abu Dhabis first premier gourmet event Gourmet Abu Dhabi begins today in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) capital, with Australian celebrity chef Curtis Stone playing a starring role in the event.

The 10-day culinary journey, featuring the Arabian Gulfs largest-ever single gathering of Michelin star masterchefs and epicurean experts, will run throughout thirteen of Abu Dhabi citys top venues until 14 February.

Visitors will be presented with the finest cuisines, best vintage wines and most unique dining experiences found in the emerging global capital. From Middle Eastern gourmet safaris to culinary masterclasses and food and beverage forums, Gourmet Abu Dhabi will marry culture and cuisine by showcasing the citys advanced modernisation, set against its rich heritage.

On 11 February, 150 food lovers and connoisseurs will have the opportunity to sample Curtis Stones creations in a one-night only Evening with Curtis Stone celebrity dinner at the opulent Shangri-la, Qaryat Al Beri. Stone plans to demonstrate, why cooking is one of lifes great pleasures
