A WORLD WITHOUT STILETTOS?
Imagine not being able to grow a few inches for that special night out or to have those long legs in that new mini dress? What would women do? Would we never be able to have that sexy, confident and sophisticated feeling when we slip into a pair of heels?
If you think of how heels entered into fashion, it dates back to many centuries ago during the Egyptian times when the upper class royalty were wearing the early versions of the shoes found today. In the 1500s they really took off, small heels were placed onto the bottom of horse riding boots to help prevent the rider's foot from slipping through the stirrups. They then became a fashionable item when Catherine De Medici, the wife of the duke of New Orleans in 1533, wore them to increase her height and confidence when becoming the queen. This new fashion item then did not take long to be swept internationally to dominate the fashion world ever since.
Nowadays women seem to roll out of bed and just like a daily necessity of brushing their teeth they slip into a pair of shiny, soft, leather pair of heels and head out through the door. High heels have become the hallmark of fashion and sophistication which amplify the stature of a woman and make her look more alluring to the eye. When a women walks past you in a pair of heels it is hard not to notice the strength of confidence, glamour and charm in the sexy sway of her hips.
Now high heels do have a reputation of causing stress fractures and joint pain in the legs as well as blisters but have you ever thought perhaps they were not the right size in the first place? You are not able to walk correctly in them for a number of reasons however it now seems that the pain is worth the gain with all the positive outcomes, for example it has been proven that wearing high heels may boost your sex life! By wearing heels in your daily activities it may reduce the need for pelvic exercises as the heels influence and work the pelvic muscles which reduce work for them. Also women then become more aware of their pleasure muscles which demonstrate how to exercise them in a sexual manner. Now I am sure most women will think that it is certainly a bonus to look great and to work those pelvic muscles at the same time, fabulous!
The effects of feeling taller while lengthening our legs to make them appear slimmer and a feeling of importance plus the associated sexuality is a must for women these days. If heels were not around, women would always be envious of those lucky ones who are naturally born tall and never have the hope of appearing taller than they actually are together with the effects of slimming down those thighs and the obvious feeling of being sexy and confident. All men love to see a women walk in heels, although they may not notice that as well as giving the body its natural posture, heels also compliment the attractiveness of the clothes you wear. With the many colours, styles and designs of heels it is almost too hard to pick the right ones that is why women own and love to buy so many shoes!
High heels have taken over the world for a woman's essentiality and I cannot see them disappearing anytime soon. However if they were to suddenly disappear I am sure there would be many short, shy and angry women who would have to get used to wearing their lovely converse flats and to be in and out of the chiropractor from suffering neck strain when having to look up at the person they are talking to.
So it all comes down to imagining not being able to spend that last pay check on the latest Jimmy Shoes or having to slip out of those show stopping pair of colourful Missonis. I do not think so! Being a heel lover there is no way I will be giving up my heels in a hurry and if they were to disappear I would be the first to come up with an alternative!
