36-Hour Seafood Marathon at Sydney Fish Market

For twenty years, Sydneysiders have flocked to Sydney Fish Market's 36-Hour Seafood Marathon in preparation for their summery Christmas feasts. This year, more than 100,000 shoppers are expected to attend the milestone 20th anniversary event with oysters, sashimi and prawns high on their shopping lists.

As well as fresh seafood, shoppers can grab a Christmas turkey or ham; get advice on the best wines and beer for pairing with their meal, or pick-up fresh bread, fruit and vegetables. To complete the Christmas feast, there is also a wide choice of deli items including cold meats, olives and cheeses. Sydney Fish Market is a one-stop shop for all Christmas food needs.

Whether a first time visitor or a 20-year veteran to the 36-Hour Seafood Marathon, everyone attending can expect a colourful and exciting atmosphere at all hours of the day and night. Visitors can come down to enjoy the fun and frenzy of the marathon, stock up on Christmas supplies, enjoy some delicious fresh or cooked seafood, or just sit back and people-watch from the waterside boardwalk.

Even Santa Claus is taking time out from his busy schedule to pop into the 36-Hour Seafood Marathon.
