A distinguished panel of judges has been announced for the 2016 Workplace Giving Excellence Awards.
Chaired by Dr. Andrew Young, CEO of The Centre for Social Impact, the judges will bring considerable corporate, philanthropic, government, community and academic experience to their evaluation of entries.
'Having assembled such an experienced and respected group of judges shows that Workplace Giving has evolved into an important funding channel in Australia. We are looking forward to learning how leading employers are harnessing the power of Workplace Giving – not only to achieve great outcomes in the community, but also as a tool to bring their organisation's values to life in a way that is engaging and motivating for their staff," says Dr. Young.
The Awards are part of the One Million Donors campaign that was launched by The Hon. Malcolm Turnbull, MP, in 2014. The campaign's mission is to see one million Australians donating to charity from their pay by 2020. Achieving this would create an additional donation flow of over $250 million each year for community.
The Workplace Giving Excellence Awards are a key pillar of the campaign, recognising the achievements of those employers and their staff who are making significant contributions to the community through Workplace Giving.
