Given that since its inception in 1985, it has been tradition for the Bash to start and finish at a destination starting with the letter B, this year the Variety Bash will leave from the 'B' Shed at Sydney markets and finish in Byron Bay, detouring through some of NSW most remote regions including Cobar, Bourke and even crossing the border into Goondiwindi and Toowoomba in Queensland before completing the 3, 557 km journey on the most easterly point of Australia.
Having run a huge bash last year for the 25th Anniversary, Bashers from all walks of life are preparing, some for the first time, together with seasoned 'Bashers' to jump in their ancient and colourful cars and raise money for Variety the children's charity by driving through some of Australia's most diverse and isolated regions.
